If your child is heading to school, or at a pre-school where you provide their lunch, making up lunchboxes is going to be a big part of your life over the next few years! Whether you’re a prep-the-night-before kind of parent or have do-it-on-the-day vibes, there’s nothing better than making things as easy as you can for yourself.

We’ve pulled together a few delicious snacks which are lunchbox-friendly, parent-friendly, kiddy-friendly and which a nutritionist would be proud of, to boot.

Let us know which ones you’ll be trying!

Mini Energy Balls

We love these brilliant energy balls from Annabel Karmel. Prep in advance and keep in the fridge for up to five days for an easy addition to your little one’s lunchbox.

Homemade pizza slices

Who said sandwiches were a must-have? Replace a dry sarnie with these little pizzas which your children can help you to make in advance, adding their fave toppings!

Gorgeous flapjacks

Once you learn the base for  flapjacks, the world is your oyster and you can add anything to them, from chocolate chips, to fruit to nuts! Flapjacks keep really well, so you can make a big batch to add to lunchboxes all week (and have a few for yourself, too!).

Egg muffins

The easiest mini egg muffins which will be the envy of the playground! Your kids can get involved in making these ones, too - add anything you fancy from bacon to salmon!

Apple doughnuts

Create a healthy but yummy sweet treat with these apple doughnuts. Even better, no cooking required!
